Open Question: I have a gmc SUBURBAN truck 2500 with problems?

My truck is a 93' and i just replaced my starter. i used it for a few days, but one day when i turned it on it wanted to start but it sounds like a wheel or disk is spinning. even when i turn off the truck it still spins. so i pulled out the battery to stop it. what can the problem be with it.? thanks mine is a 457. i love this truck, it has a lot of power and sounds great. it also has a 6 inch lift with 33 inch all terrian tires. the downside of it is that it takes a lot of gas...
